I have a Time Capsule (7.3.2) and an Airport Express (6.3). In Preferences I have all the boxes checked for updating. If the amber light doesn't come on, does that mean I don't need the firmware update?

@stoneage " I did this, and it stayed the same for both units."Are you sure you're using version 5.4.1 of AirPort Utility?

I have Airport Utility 5.4.1. It did update the Time Capsule to 7.4.1 this afternoon, a completely different result from this morning, but the Airport Express still shows version 6.3. I just stream music with the AE and it is still working fine.Friday, March 06 2009 @ 01:00 PM PST

Nope, doesn't mean that at all...my TimeCapsule and one of my two eligible Airport Extremes were still showing green.Open Airport Utility and click on each unit in turn and see if it says an update is required.
