question - maboroshi

I'm not so sure this is true. I have emoji's enabled on my iPhone and my iPhone friends who don't, can still see the icons and everything when I send a text-message.

The reason, I believe, is because emoji's are built into the iPhone's firmware.

question - notorious

The other party does not have to have emoji enabled. However, the phone needs to be able to support emoji in general (ie old nokia phones won't see anything).

My friend's SE phone can't see smilies either, just a question mark! I don't remember this being pointed out in the description. If it is there fine, if not I want my money back!
