This is a caution for PPC Mac users - Do not purchase LimeWire Pro. You can NOT run it on your PPC machine.
Evidently all versions of LimeWire beyond the 4.18 series are going to be for Intel Macs only. There is still a link for the older Pro version at your Pro download site, but it's a little hard to find. Of course, you can download the non-Pro version at any time.

It says it can work with Java 1.5, but it doesn't look like they tested it on the Mac version. Their website on shows it working in Windows.
The requirements should say "requires at least a Core 2 Duo Intel chip"
Core Duos are 32 bit and don't run 64 bit Java 1.6, which seems to be an unnecessary (i.e. lazy programming) way to cut out another 10%-15% of the Mac population. The Core Duos were shipped in MacBooks, MacBook Pros, Mac Minis and iMacs less than thirty months ago.
Limewire just disappears on the Cores after it warns about Java 1.5, launches OK on the Core 2 Duos (I mange fifteen computers)
