This is a basic replacement to the ubiquitous stickies program on every mac. It keeps with the physical analogy that stickies started with post-it notes but chooses a slightly different physical object to represent, a spiral bound notebook. This approach seems to keep all the original functionality of stickies but adds, I think, improved organization. Now new notes start in a notebook but you can rip off a page and stick it anywhere you want stickies style. Interesting rethink of a classic which you might find you prefer to the original.
Beyond, the new notebook design there were a couple of features that I have long thought have been missing from stickies. If you are like me, you probably keep way too many passwords and other sensitive information in your stickies. Not smart on my part but stickies is so darn convenient for this purpose! SpiralBound has a simple security interface that will block out all the text on a sensitive note. It also has a better find function than the basic stickies, capable of searching all the note windows you have, unlike basic stickies, which only will search the open window. (That has always killed me!)
Good rethink of a classic.
