Conditions needed are unclear. Are the three conditions AND or OR? In other words, do I need this if only one is true (Firmware Version 0110), or should all three be true?
Appears to be 'and...' - -jpa
Article HT3421's lack of clarity about battery eligibility is annoying. My early-2008 black MacBook's battery has device name ASMB016, pack lot code 0000 and firmware version 0110. Battery Updater 1.4 installed without protest but doesn't appear to have changed anything that's displayed in the 'power' section of System Profiler.
If I understand the article's last paragraph correctly, the program will run during every subsequent bootup, will check whatever battery happens to be installed, and -- if appropriate -- will attempt to upgrade the battery. Since a user might install a battery with obsolete firmware at any moment, perhaps the article's instructions should be to install the updater on any machine that accepts devices ASMB016 or ASMB013. Or maybe not. Opinions?
