Why would you pay for this?

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

The gorgeous Himmelbar from Softbend does all your pull down menus for nothing while Finderpop (now in version 2.0) gives you all the contextual menues and searches you could possibly think of.

Both are quality products and both are free. I can't think of a single reason why Launchbar would be worth giving them up and paying 20 bucks.

Why would you pay for this? - espringer

Of course it may not be worth it to you, especially if your habits are already attuned to those other utilities. I find LaunchBar to be elegant, responsive, powerful, and flexible -- not to mention reliably stable. It's among the software purchases that I have never second-guessed.

The applications you mention are primarily app launchers. Neither one even scratches the surface of what Launchbar can do: move files, do google, imdb and amazon searches from the desktop, manipulate directories, do calculations, access addressbook, manipulate iCal data and vastly more.

I suggest that in future you try to understand the application you're reviewing before you post such specious nonsense.

Obviously, LB is NOT for You - MAC_1984

Stick with your freebies and keep your useless comments to yourself.

BTW, FinderPop is pintware.
