I've used ReadIris Pro 11 for quite some time with very mixed results. This "upgrade" is very confusing as the version I have is 11.6.6. Which I received as a "free" upgrade, very long story but was told via email that all version 11 upgrades were free. It also came via an FTP download and not via a browser ftp. I received a response from ReadIris a few days ago (Feb. 23. 09) that a new version (12 I assume) for Mac would be available by the end of 2009. It will be interesting to see if they solve all the bugs that exist and if they can get with a GUI that has rhyme and reason. It is a shame OmniPage dropped the Mac version as it really was a solid OCR program. Interestingly enough I can still make Omnipage work on my Intel 10.5.6. I find it interesting that there is only one company that has an OCR program for the Mac.
