What the hell is ".bz2" and how the hell do I open it?
Why can't people stick to common compression methods?

Thanks Rufus. Nothing to add. Also: if you are running PPC 10.5.6 and you can get 2.0 running then post a line about it here. Cheers.Thursday, February 26 2009 @ 08:56 PM PST

bz2 is a common format, offering very efficient compression, much better than zip. The default utility provided by OS X should open it. It does in Leopard, at any rate. Stuffit should open it as would most any other compression utility you might install, such as The Unarchiver.Reply to This
