X11 System Requirements

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

It's not terribly helpful for the product description to advise that we must have the latest version or build of X11 from Apple in order to use OpenOffice 3.0.1. What is the definition of "latest"? I should think they should give a baseline version and build number of X11 and then use the phrasing, "This version or later."

It's possible some of us already have a version of X11 which would meet the requirements of this software.

X11 System Requirements - None - Cardlaw

This info is wrong. With Version 3, you no longer need X11.

Oh, duh -- I knew that myself. Thanks for the slap in the face on that. It's the 2.x code base which still relied on X11.
