It would be very helpful if commenters indicated the OS they are using when they post entries here. Though most of you are running Leopard 10.5x, I'm still running Tiger 10.4.11. Oftentimes, problems appear in Leopard that may or may not appear in Tiger, or vice versa. That's why I'm making the plea that all commenters begin indicating which operating system they are using. TIA.

VT would provide a better service if they provided a separate box not only for the OS, but also for which Mac model (laptop, iMac, Big, or some 10 year old Mac), what CPU, etc., and made it mandatory to complete. Some recent problems were confined to laptops.I've never had any problems with any update in over 25 years, and I suspect that most of the people with problems have either installed some sort of hacksies, or mucked around with their system in some way.
