ASM continues the very functional user interface from the system 9 Application Switcher Menu.
This brilliant piece of software makes it so easy to jump between open applications it should have been included as part of the OSX operating system.
I've used Macs since the early 1980's and for 15 years made a living from graphic art, so you could say I'm more than the average Mac user. Without ASM I'd be driven up the wall.
Forcing users to use the dock to switch applications sucks. It's often difficult to see where your applications are and also which ones are open - especially with 50 or more items in the dock.
Without this indispensable utility, my efficiency would suffer greatly.
Come on Steve, most everything else about OSX is great - please admit you made a mistake about leaving this out of OSX and buy it from the developers. ;-)
ASM
Customizable app switch menu like Classic OS's.

I appreciate the 'features' of OS9 but as far as Application Switcher is concerned why not just use 'Command Tab' and achieve the same thing? Works easily and you don't need another piece of software. I also use X-Assist for the Right Side Menubar applications pull down. Works every since the original version with no modifications.Thursday, August 06 2009 @ 11:11 AM PDT

Sometimes, oftentimes, it's more convenient to use your mousing hand rather than your keyboard hand for application switching. I also find it more convenient to drag my mouse down a menu than tab tab tab tab tab to get to an application. I love ASM. I find it a great convenience.Thursday, August 06 2009 @ 06:08 PM PDT

ASM: Is this the application from the old Mac's where the windows that are open rotate to the next window/a bit like a cube ?I've been trying to find this for ages.
If not would you know how I can get it?

"Forcing users to use the dock to switch applications sucks."You aren't forced to use the dock. Command-Tab anyone?
