Recommend Product: YES

As normal keep a aback up version handy 1.71 broke LAN file transfers speed on my system it no longer runs at full speed data is transfered Slower. there seams to be a limit of the MAX data speed.
If 1.6 was working for you don't upgrade. if you have 1Gb/s router that was failing get the 1.71 update.

Update, They are working on the 100Mb/s router problem with users from the US playstation forums so should have an update at some point.
