There are posts here that puzzle me. Perhaps Apple's later releases fixed early issue? With 10.5.6 on a PPC machine, v98 runs without issue. Uses between 2.2 and 5% of the CPU. Uses a chunk of VM (700Mb) and a very small real RAM footprint. No problems noted.

Runs on Leopard without issue - plaintiger

ahhh: the person experiencing no problems is on a PPC machine. so i guess that's it: iStumbler isn't compatible with Intel machines (i.e., it's obsolete). oh well.
