which the developer is not fixing.
There are hidden illegal characters in MarsEdit posts which crash the Wordpress XML-RPC interpreter, making it impossible to post to my Wordpress weblogs for the last six months.
For some reason, fixing this is not a priority with Daniel.
So I am unable to use this software which I paid for for more than six months.
Be careful.

Problem with Wordpress weblogs... - redsweaterdaniel
Hi decadence, I am sorry you have the impression that I am not interested in fixing problems with the software. I can't recall any support interaction that we might have had that led you to this conclusion.Normally when a problem is reported and it is is traced to an issue in MarsEdit, I maintain communication with users and follow-through with a fix as soon as I can. If you browse the Red Sweater Forums, I think you will find this evident. I take the same care with customer support requests that are submitted by email.
There are at least some inaccuracies in the issue you've reported here. You say that "there are hidden illegal characters in MarsEdit posts." This is not true as a rule, though it's true that one of the issues that customers sometimes run into is a situation where, because MarsEdit uses a Mac OS X text editor, it's possible to press a combination of keys that insert an illegal character into a post. This is a situation which I hope to solve by making MarsEdit better at alerting the user when such a character has been typed.
The tone of your message here paints me as an unreceptive and uncaring developer, which as you can imagine sort of cuts to the bone. It's quite literally the opposite of the way I try to treat customers, with respect and with utmost concern for what my software is or is not doing for them.
I welcome a followup from you in the forums or by email, and if there's some way that I let you down support-wise, I apologize and would aim to do better this time around.
Daniel
