Existing users, 
I have the same issue with SR3 that I encountered when SR2 had been released. As far as SR2 or SR3 is installed, my iMac (aluminium C2D 2,4 GHz with MacOS X 10.4.11) won't go to deep sleep. Only will the screen go black after the defined iddle time.
As soon as I reinstall the first release of Stuffit Deluxe 2009, the deep sleep ability comes back.
