It works. Loading is faster. The Interface is new and intuitive to use. The set up is kind of like Limewire for dummies and is easier. It's beta. Seems stable. Hasn't crashed yet.

Works on Intel only!!! - gbdoc
I just read the docs on Limewire's site: this is Intel-only, since there is (currently) no Java 1.6 for PPC.Friday, January 09 2009 @ 06:44 AM PST

How did you get it to launch? I have a MacBook Pro 2.16 and it won't open.Friday, January 09 2009 @ 11:23 AM PST

I simply installed it and it works. I have no problems like other users. Beats me. It just works. Would you like video evidence if I can figure out how to do it with my digital camera?
Previous versions of Limewire were very slow loading with my MacBook 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo, iMac SE DV, Mac LC 475, Mac Classic .... I have been downloading for a long time from all sources by all methods and although some methods are less convenient, it's not been a problem. I am not a Mac guru. I know nothing about Java other than coffee and Indonesia.
I am currently using an iMac, 20", 2.4GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM and OS 10.5.6. I just bought it 2 weeks ago. Maybe Apple secretly gave me a special computer for years of unwavering support. I really don't know but I am deeply and sincerely grateful. By the way, I seldom use Limewire.

It does NOT work! - joebobj
This is the worst BETA version I have ever attempted to test on my laptop.Using it is like dragging an anchor as it is so slow in every function tested, it crashed when I tried to dowload one song title and the interface is not intuitive as advertised. Had to force quit to get out of it. Also, the BETA replaced my working version of Limewire so now I can't use it. Are there other programs out there that do this better?
