I like Font Explorer X, but what home user is going to want to buy a Pro server version?
They need a home version without the server functions for us.
Until this happens, they are dead to me.
I am no going to spend $40.00 for a Pro version that I don't need, but I did like the last free version simply because it helped where OS X was unable to.
FontExplorer X Pro
Professional font management utility.

If you are not using ACS4 or Quark 8 you can stick with the old version for some time to come. You don't have to buy the server version, the €39 is for the regular client version with a lot of updates and new features.
The server version is really cool but costs a lot of money in annual license fee, but includes access to over 4,000 OT fonts.
