Doesn't work! - Jay

That's funny, it works perfectly on my exact same MBP. It's an unusual instal - are you sure you installed it correctly?

Doesn't work! - Felix01

Also works fine on my late-'08 MBP with OS 10.5.6.

Be sure you're running X11 version 2.3.2 (alternatively use the script "change-X11-dpi").

And I'm not sure what's "unusual" about the install, Jay. Seemed pretty straightforward to me as long as you're using X11 2.3.2. Drag and drop, doesn't get much easier than that.

Try with the new X11-2.4 - fabiopanico

X11 version 2.4 was released.
Direct download link: http://xquartz.macosforge.org/downloads/X11-2.4.0.dmg

If you're still having trouble, try to install this new and then install the Gimp with the drag-n-drop method.

I had also dowloaded the X11 from Apple's site, but I couldn't make Gimp work. Then I dowloaded the X11 2.4 from the link above and now it works like a charm (tested on Mac OS 10.5.8 and 10.6.1).

Hope this helps
