Believe it or not, Adobe sells this problem with known bugs, bugs that have no workaround and which warrant a Tech Note. One would think that it would be just about as easy to fix the bugs as to write and publish a Tech Note on the Adobe website, but apparently not.
In any case, here are the primary reasons that I destroyed the program and asked for a refund:
1) The interface, while dazzling compared to my old P.E. 2.0, consumes your whole screen (as mentioned previously by another reviewer) and the dark text doesn't stand out very well on the even darker background.
2) Like the earlier P.E., the User Guide is somewhat obtuse. It often tells you, for example, the steps to take to accomplish a specific task, such as create an animated GIF, but it doesn't tell you HOW to accomplish some of the steps along the way.
3) Regardless of whether you do or do not want to loop an animated GIF, it will loop. In other words, this is a known bug for which there is no workaround present.
4) Regardless of the frame delay setting you would like to use for an animated GIF, you are stuck with 0.2 seconds--much too fast for my eyes. This is a known bug for which there is no workaround at present.
