I thought I had lost all of my emails because I had removed the "stamp" from my dock by making it go "poof" (thinking I was just hiding it) but when I opened my application for Mail, they were all gone and were in this weird .emlx format! This converter worked perfectly and restored all of my old emails. Thank you so much for this advice!
