I have used Parallels since v1, I have found version 3 to be very stable and serve my needs. With all the "benefits" listed for v4 I thought I'd try it out - installed on my MacBook, the upgrade on my XP virtual drive took forever but eventually got there. It hosed my Vista Boot Camp partition. Tried to install on my Mac Pro, installation went smoothly but v4 would not launch. I tried numerous methods including a completely clean install and still nothing. Downgraded to v3, works like a charm. I've lost an entire day fixing the mess v4 made, I'll stick with v3.

Buggy - msgoldberg

I'm rather enduser with parallels and I too had much difficulty with v 4
and was really annoyed and found it not working and was ready to give up parallels. So I downloaded the new update and voila'!! all my previous problems are gone!

Now... I'm enduser..ish so I might be just naive' but all my issues disappeared. And now it works. Little thinks, like my mac arrow and windows arrow not working before, now it does. Or that I had trouble getting the settings right and now.... they just worked well. I dunno... I can't explain what exactly I've done but the installation was seemless, and the tools automatically installed and then it asked for xp package 3 to be installed when I checked updates and kapersky needed security updates and windows did it's security updates and now... it's running, just fine....

Hope this helps someone- whatever they did, they sure fixed what looked like a failure prior to this update.
