Weird update

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Contributed by: welcome--2008 Wednesday, December 24 2008 @ 11:31 PM PST

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

I was doing OK with 1.4 (DL at 30 KB/s and UL at 140 KB/s). Then I installed 1.4.2 and ... no more uploads!! DL is the same but UL is at 0 KB/s. Trying to switch back to an earlier version, and all I find is a 1.2.2. OK, go for that one and another surprise: DL's still the same, but the UL is now up to 260 KB/s!!?? I thought upgrades were supposed to enhance usability, but apparently that's not the way things work :)

Comment to my post: I found a neat place that has all the previous versions of Transmission in case you need one.

Weird update - welcome--2008

I don't really have a problem, it's just that the different versions give apparently completely wild results, with 1.22 providing better upload speeds than version 1.40 and then 1.40 was better than 1.42, since there's no more uploads with that newest version. So yes, downgrading to 1.22 seems to give better results as far as I can see...
