Did anyone have 10.5.6 kill your HTTPmail plugin?
It stopped mine!

The plugin has been withdrawn due to the fact the Microsoft is discontinuing the HTTPMail protocol on September 1st 2009.

Not 10.5.6! - Lerele
I installed today 10.5.6, but found that in fact my hotmail access (via httpmail) has been broken for at least a couple of days.I know because I have a mail sitting in hotmail since Friday 12th, and Mail.app hadn´t noticed.
The mail itself is a "terms of service change notice" from Hotmail, so... I am fearing that the axe just fell for us httpmail users? (although the mail doesn´t say anything about protocol changes)
Gentlemen, time to finally migrate everything to gmail!

10.5.6 - totaltrust
I experienced the same problem. I have the old version of hotmail and I have had the email address for 20 years or so.i really need to have hotmail on the apple mail program as well.
is there any guarentee that if i pay the 20.00 freaking dollars to MS that it will work in APP Mail?
or is there another product out their like httpmail?
desperately need help.
