Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

That sums up my experience with 10.5.6. After allowing it to restart, I get a small window that says it is configuring the system. The progress bar moves about one tick to the right, and that's where it stops. I come back in an hour, and it's still there.

Powering down results in rebooting to 10.5.5 (whew!). I've tried twice with the same results. Now I'm going to wait and see what other people have to say.

That's exactly what's happening on 2 machines, 1 PPC and 1 Intel. This is a defective update.

The same thing happened to me when I used Software Update. Downloading the stand alone updater allowed the process to proceed-very, very slowly.

I'm using Apple update and it's been downloading for over an hour!! Thinking maybe I'll cancel this update until I hear more about it.

Right on, Jim. That's what I did and everything is working perfectly now. If anyone else needs it, it is here:
