Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: YES

I've been a WebShots account holder for nearly nine years. It's been quite the addition to my PC side, but I've been frustrated on the Mac because WebShots' own (now discontinued) software was buggy and never incorporated the final product into the Mac "way of things." For a while I used a product named SwapTop that was discontinued due to some legal issues. Then came WBX Helper.

WBZ Helper does exactly what it should do: it takes the downloaded .wbz files that are unviewable and indecipherable (even Graphic Converter chokes on them) and turns them into viewable JPEG files complete with their original names. Thus, a file that I download that has a name something like 'eb155522f7d21455e0cb6c0aa0ba69ec.wbz' becomes a photo named 'Paradise Island, Nassau Bahamas.jpg.' (These are actual names). It places the transformed file(s) into a subfolder of my Pictures folder where I can easily find them. The program also has settings for screen saving, setting the desktop picture, and sharing images. It nicely fills in the hole WebShots left on the Mac, and to top it all, it's FREE.

To the developer: Nice job. And, thanks!
