I have been a long time user of HandBrake and love the software. It works great on my Intel IMac and there are not many better program out there that will allow you to rip a DVD to IPOD for free. I have been a strong supporter of the software from the 0.9.0 version up until the 0.9.3 version. However this latest version for me has been a disappointment to say the least and a traumatic event at the most. It plain does not work for me. Period! I have loaded the software 10 times, tried it with different ripped DVD and it still stops after the first 2 seconds of attempting to convert my files. I also did a stupid thing and discarded my older version of Handbrake 0.9.2. and could not find a site to reload the old version. I was frustrated and angry. Version 0.9.3 was suppose to be the greatest change in Handbrake, but instead it is the greatest disappointment to many of its users. It crashes, locks up and does not work period for many of its users. BEWARE OF DOWNLOADING THIS VERSION unless you back of your original work copy of Handbrake. I was lucky enough to remember I had the older version on my back up drive and recovered my older version. Try it at your own risk. If it works for you great. However, if you find yourself in the same position as many the previous uses of Handbrake you may want to hold off on this version until the bugs get worked out.
