Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

I see some comments posted that Pixelmator does most of what Photoshop does at a fraction of the price. But wouldn't a better comparison be Pixelmator vs. Photoshop Elements 6? That's selling on Amazon for $72. Can anyone shed some insight on Pixelmator vs Photoshop Elements?

Comparison to Photoshop Elements? - zee10

you're exactly right!
I downloaded PM few times to try and see why should I use it.
Few important tools are missing from PM, and I pointed out to the developers. For example, "shadows & highlights" is not there. And it's a very effective tool. But developers say that this tool not important.OK..
Photoshop Elements is more superior, no doubt. The only drawback is that PE is very very very slow to start, 2-3 minutes. Pixelmator is very fast, starts in a second.
