I've used previous versions for several years, but I've only had this one a couple of days, of course. I'm disappointed with 2.0.1 because I tried to back up my internal Leopard boot drive volume to one of the partitions on an external drive containing two Extended (Journaled) partitions. I had to remount the external volume with Disk Utility after performing the backup because after the backup had finished the destination volume was no longer mounted. Then I discovered that ignore permissions for the backup volume was turned on. I turned it off, then repaired permissions with only a few corrections logged. I tried to run a subsequent backup of the same set before I tested the destination volume's bootability. I got nothing but errors in the log, and the backup was almost immediately aborted (by default the backup stops after 10 errors). If turning off ignore permissions is all it takes to destroy a backup set, then IMO this version of SilverKeeper has serious problems. The current version of Carbon Copy Cloner won't let ignore permissions get turned off for the backup volume if it is a full backup of the boot volume. Please fix these problems, Mr. Silverkeeper.
