You might have to edit the plist too, like change the references inside it to your model and shiz, first you'd have to convert the .profile to a xml to be editable, they tell you how here http://codesnippets.joyent.com/posts/show/749

Apple's Property List Editor (part of the Xcode Developer Tools, free from connect.apple.com) can edit binary plists directly. I just changed the 'deviceDisplayName' and 'modelNumber' (under 'supportedModels') properties. Model numbers for the 6301 are RM-322 and RM-323. NMT seems to work perfectly!
