Sync issues are problematic

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: NO

As you can see from my review below, I was really liking this product but recently, sync issues are getting so troublesome that I'm thinking of bailing out on this product. Its really a big mess and causes all kinds of data issues even when it does sync. Recently, with 3.8, the problem is no sync at all. To their defense, MarketCircle has been receptive and sent many email suggestions. Problem is, nothing works. Now it could partially be MobileMe which is a disaster as we all know. Yet I don't have sync issues elsewhere. I'm at the end of my rope here.

Sync issues are problematic - Rault

Not sure what specifically you mean by "MobileMe is a disaster as we all know" -- I've been a MobileMe user since it was .Mac, and while the transition was bumpy (to put it nicely) I've been nothing but pleased at how well it's been working the last year or so (since summer '08, til now, March '09). Syncs quickly and automatically, in the background, never loses data, and everything's always where I need it.

Not to diminish any woes you've had, just wanted to point out that even skeptical power users have had good experiences with Mobile Me, to balance out your blanket assumption.

I think the problem isn't with MobileMe on its own, but how it interacts with SyncServices, and then the effect that has on other applications that also attempt to keep things straight with SyncServices. Daylite is not alone in having to deal with this.
