I'm trying to use this on my Mac Mini (Intel) to record radio from Itunes, I don't get any sound recorded. I've tried all the settings but nothing, anybody know of anything I'm missing? Thanks

Dead air/wrong app? - rklw_dotmac

personally, I use AudioRecorder when I'm recording something in the room, audio notes, an interview, quick sound effect.
Recording streaming radio, I would use a different application, StreamRipperX (free) http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14856
that has evolved into RadioLover 1.6 ($15) http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19547

The problem you are having is that in cost cutting the MacMini no built in
microphone was installed....sorry...otherwise this app works wonderfully.

so is that the same for a G5 desktop (cheese grater) ie no microphone in? I don't see it listed in the my system prefs and it doesn't show up as an option in Audio Recorder.

I do not think you realize the purpose of this application. It is NOT to record audio being played on your Mac. It is to record from an external audio source, such as the built-in microphone, the line-in connection, an external Firewire/USB adapter, etc.

It will not record the audio that is playing on your Mac.
