When attempting to use this program, I keep getting an error message saying my disk is "dirty or scratched" even on brand new disks. I do NOT get this error with MacTheRipper. Numerous request-for-help emails to the developer have gone unanswered.

Does Not Work for Me and No Response from Developer - waldstille
There should be an alert to that effect then, instead of something that causes the user to waste time trying to clean the disc or to try out other discs to ascertain the problem and understand it better. For me, there is NOTHING WORSE than cryptic messages that make me waste time and cause perplexity and frustration. If I had read this before buying Ripit some time ago, I would most likely not have bought it.Saturday, November 22 2008 @ 02:07 AM PST

I've had this error come up when ripping from my Intel Mac Mini, but it went away when I tried to rip the same disc in my Mac Pro with an older DVD drive in its second bay. It might have something to do with the drive?Monday, November 24 2008 @ 02:40 PM PST

This probably means the disk you're trying to rip is encrypted.Reply to This
