Sad to say, the developers can't even place the app properly within a .dmg file. Won't mount because the .dmg file is not recognized (OSX 10.5.5 on 2.8 MHz Intel iMac).

Turns out that Safari is the culprit. Firefox and Interarchy do work.

Eudora 8.0.0b4 .dmg not recognized - wademax

After downloading, rename the .dmg.bz2 file to .dmg, then double click it. Mounts fine then.
