wow, finally can review tis for Mac users.. Well it is fast.. that is true.. SUPPORT SUCKS.. it is like only one person it seems.. if you want to say to the dev. that apache or lighttpd is better, he gets pissed.. it is SO $$$$$$$$$ for the paid version.. try to figure out how to compile PHP with this .. THAT IS REAL FUN.. bad bad.. the online config tool works but the documentation is so bad that you have to search for like 30 hours to find anything on the net..
over all. I would say why pay for this when you could use lighttpd which is free and powering sites like u-tube.. and it rocks.. LITESPEED SUCKS.. and yes it is fast.. but everything else about it is really bad.. to and mod, to configure with php .. that is a real pain.. and before you install this have a look at the doc.. it is bad bad.. and the dec.. is not helpful unless you love his app. tried this on linux as well. 20 hours to install it with php, mysql support because of a bug in the software that .. was not posted.. and me and another friend found it..
USE lighttpd or apache2 and everything will work just fine ..

I'm impressed you could have found a bug in the software while having so much trouble getting PHP to work. PHP is an option in the install process. Once you get to the proper screen in the gui interface, it's a "click". Other languages are a little more complicated, but I can't believe anybody could find configuring lightppd simpler than LiteSpeed. Or that anyone as bumbling as you appear to be could be responsible for anything that might require the extra features and performance of the paid version. As far as cost; have you priced Zeus or Stronghold? For some enterprises, it's not much money for the extra security, performance and reliability these servers offer.I do not run LiteSpeed, but I have tested it. I never had a reason to directly contact support, but I note that LiteSpeed runs a forum that has lots of topics and useful information and the developers are active participants in the discussions.
Neither the software nor its developer suck. Your review on the other hand...
