This stopped working for me, with the OS 10.5.5 update. I tried to email the developer, but have received no reply. I don't know if mine is an isolated problem, but this may not be working with 10.5.5. Otherwise, it's a great product, and I'm having a hard time without it. X-Assist is not as good, IMO.

i've had no issues with this after the 10.5.5 udate and in my experience the developer has been on top of system updates, usually within a week or so.
