So I start up my computer this morning and I am informed that there is an update to PF available and do I want to update? "OK Fine", I say. There is no information that this is a paid update, it just downloads the update in the background and then asks if I want to upgrade and launch the updated Path Finder. "OK Fine" I say again. But imagine my surprise when I am informed that my serial number is no longer valid.
Sorry, CocoaTech, but I find this shady, offensive and misleading. If there had been an extra alert that would inform that the upgrade would cost me that I would have to click on to proceed, I could accept this. However, there was no such information given and I am forced to go through the hassle of uninstalling this version of Path Finder and reinstalling PF4, or biting the bullet and paying up.

Misleading and shady! - neilio
Actually, the Sparkle upgrade window that notifies you of the availability of the new version has a big red box that says right in it that Path Finder 5 is a paid upgrade.Reply to This
