Feedback Type:  Usage Tip

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Hi,

I need to run a PC based software (AUTOCAD) on my Mac. If I install virtual PC do I still need to install windows XP as well to run the application?

If yes is there any existing solution to run a PC software on a Mac without installing windows, as I don't have enough free disk space to install windows and don't really want to install windows to run just one application?

Thanks for your answers!

To the best of my knowledge, expecially since you (like myself) are using a PPC Mac, the answer is yes, you do have to install Windows prior to installing Virtual PC. Only Intel Macs have the ability to run Windows apps, via third party apps, without installing Windows!
