I realize it is a beta, but still... there are a half dozen great text-only (or more) AOL/AIM chat clients. If it cannot do seamless audio/video chat and file exchange with Windows AOL/AIM users it is essentially useless.
I agree about the installer issue also. Installer should not be used unless it is required for frameworks or system level files etc. If it just copies a self-contained .app program then just put it in a DMG and not fill up the hard drive with install "receipts", or change permissions on directories etc.
No real user really cares about integrated AOL 'superbuddy' icons and chat window wallpapers. That was cool 7 years ago, but we''ve all grown up since then. Right?
