Existing users, 
I've spent several hours over several days and it still does not work. When I give additional feedback, I'm pointed to a URL that does not work.
I've used Stuffit from almost day one. It is very disappointing to to see this lack of customer care and poor coding.
I've have not decided yet, but I'm seriously thinking of not using this product any longer.
I can not recommend it to anyone.
Too bad, it was a top notch program at one time, I guess they need a bail out too.

I had problems too, but running the Stuffit Cleaner (universal uninstaller all the way back to I believe Stuffit 7) worked great for me.http://support.smithmicro.com/cs/smkb.cfg/php.exe/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1730
They really should include that program with the installer. The techs told me to run the permissions repair feature (that it prompts you to do), but that feature didn't work for me. Thankfully, skipping that and having it remove files DID work. If you've been using Stuffit Deluxe for a while, you'll be surprised how much old stuff you still have cluttering up your computer.
Once the uninistall is done and you restart your Mac, run the Stuffit Deluxe 13.0.1 installer again and it should work.
