Why Doesn't The Quit Command Work?

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

After three attempts to load Wings 3D I finally got a file that was not corrupted. After that I ran the program and then tried to quit it from the menu bar.

It would not quit.

This is the same unacceptable defect that has been in this application since it first appeared. Why can't the developer make a simple quit command from the menu bar work?

Until the developer corrects this defect, I will have no choice but to put each failed version in the trash.

This is why I selected the "have not tried" option. This is because it is not a good idea to "try" a product with such a glaring defect.

I am more interested in how well it runs - not in whether it quits or not? I can live with such a defect as you put it if the application performs well and does what it is supposed to.

Does it?

I guess now I will have to find out for myself. Ok....

You can live with an application that requires the user to use a force quit to exit the program!?

This has to be the silliest example example of bass-ackward thinking I have ever heard as applied to software!

This is a dead product.

End of message.

It exits fine for me - you have to pay attention to the program and exit from the menu inside the program and not the menu bar.

This is a port of software that's on Windows and Unix systems - it does not fully adhere to Macintosh UI, but it does function properly if you pay attention to the program menus.
