Like a number of other terminal emulators I have examined recently, MacWise seems to be a very nice program for what it does; however, while it does support ANSI colors, it does not support the extended ASCII character set, i.e., ANSI characters, such as are used on PC-ANSI based BBSes. If you don't understand what I am talking about, just use MacWise and go to an IP address like this one, using port 23: 202.128.20.175. As you will see, the ANSI characters are not displayed properly. Now, use SyncTERM, (available here on VT), and see what happens. Surprise! That is the way it is supposed to look! Thus, for the time being, SnycTERM still remains the king when it comes to old time BBSing. Thanks Deuce! :)
