What an elegant and efficient solution to the problem of having to log into Gmail just to see if there are new messages. This is especially convenient if you don't wish to have your Gmail automatically forwarded to your mail application for a variety of reasons.

I'm looking forward to a future version which will have two additional features: 1) monitor multiple Gmail addresses. 2) Customize the pop up notification to show just the sender's address and (with the aforementioned feature implemented) from which account the new mail has been detected.
