iCab has been called "innovative" for quite a while and its developer must be credited for keeping the momentum going for so long. On the pro side, it is lean and mean and incorporates many leading edge features. On the con side, it has become shareware (was once free) and still isn't ACID3-compliant (see http://www.acidtests.org/ ).

Please stop complaining! - rhpatrick22
I keep reading these "needle complainnts" from reviewers who make a choice to put this browser down; it has the following features not mentioned by the complainer;Anti Phishing/Mailwaare checking, stability, all web sites including most banks are recognized, it is not a memory hog. The Acid test is not important, the browser security test is; this browser passed all tests
The posted giving of list of bbrowsers which do not pass the Acid Test is valid. I bought my license from the developer years ago, and when improvements arre needed the developer improves the browser. Set up your computer for Open DNS, and please stop finding "picky faults" wih this browser

Having enough with ACID already - Ilgaz
Well, iCab being non ACID compliant (!) means the ENGINE it uses, which sadly became Webkit (Guy gave up his own engine) currently is not ACID compliant. No worries, Apple jumped to ACID bandwagon too and Safari 4 engine is 100% compliant. So whenever iCab uses new Safari 4 engine which is currently beta, it will pass your precious test. Does passing the test mean anything related to user experience or even standards compliance, website rendering accuracy? Sadly not. That is why I go nuts when I see people throwing away years of programming work down to toilet stating a synthetic test.
