does not honor upgrade promise

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 6-12 months

Recommend Product: NO

I purchased v2.1 of CP Notebook 2.1 on December 24 2007 and at that time there was a message from Circus Ponies stating that there would be a free upgrade to version 3 if you purchased 2.1. Now the developer is saying that v2.1 must have been purchased by Jan 1 2008 (7 days later) in order to get the free 3.0 upgrade. You try to support these company's by buying their software but you really can not trust what they say and do about upgrades, they either want to much money or don't follow through with their upgrade promises. Version 2.1 is not that stable and I'm sure v3 has corrected these problems, but in no way am I going to pay anymore money to CP's.

does not honor upgrade promise - Elizabeth_Statmore_15

We absolutely do honor our upgrade promises. Originally we had announced that free upgrades would begin with 2.1 purchases on or after January 15, 2008 (the date we announced NoteBook 3.0), but we decided to move that back to Jan. 1, for simplicity. At no point was the cutoff date earlier than that.

And the beauty of the internet is that the evidence has all disappeared and we'll never know who's telling the truth.
