I've been using iStill to take close-up photos for a couple of years now, and functionally, it works well. The interface is a bit slow -- don't make adjustments too quickly! -- but workable. My big complaint is that the support is gone. Literally. I got quick response once right after I bought it, but e-mails sent every few months since 2006 have never been answered. (No, I have not had different issues every few months. I've been contacting him about the same UI suggestion and the same minor bug.)

Because it does work, and because there is nothing like it, I can recommend it. Just keep in mind you may never, ever obtain support.
