I first bought this in 2006, and about four hours after I contacted him with a problem, it was fixed. But that was the last I ever heard. I knew something was up: I told him that his web site has the versions mixed up (I have 1.3F, but the site says the latest is 1.2), and had included a minor bug and an interface suggestion, but I did not hear back. I have sent e-mails perhaps once every four to six months, and have never heard a peep.
And what just kills me is that there really isn't anything like it that I am aware of. It's a fine piece of software. It's a shame to let it die.
As much as I can't stand government interference in business, "there should be a law": If you abandon your software or drop it officially from production, the source code should move into open source.
I can, however, recommend it. It works. Just don't expect to get anything more, ever, from this developer.
