Daylite is currently a mess. If you're looking for a PIM, we wouldn't suggest DL until at least version 4 comes out.
We converted our office to Daylite over 18 months ago and currently have 7 fully licensed Daylite copies on 6 machines and our 1 server. There is no single other application that increases our stress like Daylite at present. I've had secretaries burst into tears over their frustration with Daylite's inability to sync to iCal and MobileMe and get schedules out to the sales reps in the field. I literally hear desk pounding and "aargh!" on a daily basis for the past couple months. Syncing doesn't work; we get warnings that we don't have enough licenses (we do) so it locks out one of our users; settings don't stick; we get 2-minute long spinning wheels multiple times a day; each week, we spend time trying to troubleshoot by shutting down the server, then each of the 6 Macs, then going through a list of 11 steps that are recommended to get syncing to work again. It's a office's worst nightmare at the moment.
Contrary to the poster below (EndlessFx), we do get responses back from DL's support; usually takes about 12 hours. But the feeling we get is that DL engineers can't figure out where the bugs are either at this point. Or perhaps they're working on them and version 4 will be a giant bug fix that will bring Daylite to being a top rate program.
But given the substantial costs involved in Daylite licenses and their not-cheap group of trainers out there, I'd hate to see other companies jump into Daylite at this point and spend the large amount of frustration and wasted time and money (thousands at this point) that we've seen.
Fix the program, Market Circle.

I'm looking at Daylite SPECIFICALLY because I'm having huge problems with Mobile Me and iCal. In fact, My iCal is a mess on all my Macs! Are you sure the issue is with DL? I need a program that won't cause problems and take a lot of time to adapt. The video demos are quite informative and it seems well thought out. Your comment disturb me. Is there anyone out there who has positive results with Daylite?

Correct, we have had exactly the same experiences. We are a small business and if the Apple Address Book was a groupware solution, we would just use that.Reply to This
