I really wish this would work but...
The demo version has locked up my entire system several times in demoing it for no more than an hour. Each time I have had to do a hard restart. Hard on the system and VERY time consuming since it also requires doing a SUM to make sure the system has not been corrupted. Also though the MPEG-4 option preference setting worked the first time I used it and saved the capture as a very small file... after I tried a couple other formats and then tried to save as an MPEG-4 again it would not save in this format again and saved files that were huge (i.e. 10+ the size of the original MPEG-4 though the size and time of the capture was not that much different). Again... I wish you luck with this app since... though I use SnapZ Pro for static images... the $40 upgrade that Ambrosia requires is too much, just to occasionally take a movie capture. Let me know when the bugs get worked out. I'll check back. Good luck. (OSX 10.5.4 on a G5 tower)

HARD locks entire system. Requires hard restart. - ashleykaryl
I am having exactly the same problem with the latest version and 10.6.1 using a registered version. It's literally freezing the entire system requiring a hard restart, plus I can't even select areas for screen capture any more.App4mac make great looking applications, that are generally simple and intuitive, but this one has gone really bad and is completely unusable at present. I understand that applications have problems every now and then, but I have contacted the developer on three separate occasions through their website about different bugs with this software and never even had a reply. I wonder if others are having similar problems.
