It is hard to have confidence in a developer who says "Compared to uncompressed formats, Sheer will double your disk speed, double your disk size, double your transmission bandwidth" when it is so easy to be accurate with the language. Apart from the "compared to" solecism, none of these 3 claims is true. Hyperbole in advertising, perhaps, but this is a technical forum.
It is used all over the TV and Movie World - Ilgaz
The claim which you hit by grammar checking is true, you buy sheervideo not just to save disk speed, you can do additional things even on fiber setup with the saved bandwidth. In fact, sheervideo is way more safe than plain raw as it does huge amount of colour etc. tests on the fly.It is a professional codec for people who works with gigantic 10-12bit files, it is in use for years both in Windows and (Mac) OS X World.
I keep saying that Version tracker should have a "professional" section so such professional software doesn't get irrelevant reviews. I have even seen one guy comparing it to h264... Come on.
