A wonderful program, if it wouldn't crash all the time. It crashes when I save, crashes when I open a file, crashes just anytime. Again and again. That started with version 4.1.1 and continues in 4.1.3.
The advice on the forum etc. is to deactivate all plugins. But how useful is RW without plugins?

Crashes - Roberto Bos
And very frustrating: I just moved my whole site from a Windows environment to Mac, because of the instability of Windows. But RapidWeaver is worse, much worse.Monday, September 08 2008 @ 06:44 AM PDT

That's unfortunate. I've been using RW a lot for about 2 years and it's very stable. I suspect the problem is at your end.I don't know how much you yet know about Macs but in case it's not yet a lot....the first thing I'd do is delete my pref file in case it's corrupt. It's a file called com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaverpro.plist. You'll find it in your ~/library/preferences folder.
If that doesn't do it, try contacting Realmac for advice. It really is a good program.

Crashes - NeoX360
Yeah I have to agree that you should first make sure it is not your system. That being said the 3.x versions of RW would constantly crash for me costing me a lot of lost work. In that case it was not my Mac as the later 3.6 versions seemed to solve the problem with not a single crash... I just checked my crash logs on my Mac and not a single entry for RW.Saturday, November 22 2008 @ 06:50 PM PST

It crashed once again. One hour of work lost. Unbelievable that they can't get this right. As if I'm working on a pc with Windows.Reply to This
